8’ 8” # 7 line 3 piece 2tips bag & tube All orginal Rod was showing A little bag wear I have steel wooled it and given it a light varnish over coat It now looks like it left Georges shop about 1950. The American Museum of fly fishing did a great story on the life of George Halstead 2008 Vol. 34 # 1 The rod is Straight Ferrule fit is good It is ready to fish and collect. Its a great piece of American Rod making History. His name is not on the rod. It is common Knowledge and has been published that he did not put his name on many of the 600 or so rods he made He spent a lot of his shop time makeing hardware. Reelseats & Ferrules For other Rod makers Like Payne Gillum Ect. There Is no question in my mind This rod was made by George Halstead I And a buddy who stoped by lawn casted it Its a casting Machine With 7 to 8 lines
