Thompson model 484 1/0 3 1/4 dia. his is one of the rarest of the Vom Hofe flyreels It was made in 1925 & discontined in 1928 The idea was presented to the Vom Hofe shop by Col.Lewis Thompson A noted alantic salmon fisherman It is a multiplyer It was not very popular because of the offset handle Vom Hofe Then developed model 504 a multiplyer with the handle in the center & more flush to the side of the reel If your collecting Vom Hofe flyreels this may be the hardest one to find It is as close to perfect as I have ever seen It is from a collection The owner only purchaed the best he could find
