The 7” half wells handle has 2 thumb rests This was a favorite type of handle for Paul I can see him now Grinding these into this handle He taught me how to do it & i became the offical thumb rest grinder as he got older This is done by eye Sometimes the customer Would watch and feel it and say Just right Or go a little deeper This is a great all around rod for 2lb. & up Fish
