8', # 8 line, 2-piece, 3 tips, bag and tube. I refinish this rod about ten years ago. It shows very little use since. I originally made it in 1961 while working at the Paul Young Co. in Detroit. It is called the boat rod because it was designed for the guide to use while running a AuSable river boat. It is my favorite rod fto use during our hex hatch. You can cast a # 8 big wind resistance hex fly and has enought butt to control a twenty inch brown and keep him out of a log jam. The rod in excellent condition ready to fish. Their were less then fifty of this model made.
