I was 18 years old Here it is 69 years later and the rod is in my shop. Its ready for enoughter 69 years. I belive. the the parabolic 15 is one of the best 8’ 5 to 6 line rods ever Paul. hit it just right designing this taper. I make it under my name & call it Mod 856. The first rod I. put together for my. self at the Young co. in 1956 was a para 15 with a ventalated grip I still use it today I will vent the grip on this rod if wanted It lets you feel the rod loading a little more
